About Hawl Al Madar Co.: Established in 1987 as a family enterprise, Hawl Al Madar Co. has emerged as a prominent entity in the Iraqi business landscape.

Our History:

• Founded      in Baghdad in 1987, we initially operated a hotel and restaurant on      Al-Mashjar Street, which gradually expanded to encompass two hotels, three      restaurants, a banquet hall, and a wholesaler for alcoholic beverages.
• In      1994, regulatory constraints compelled us to cease operations due to local      laws prohibiting alcohol consumption in on-trade premises.
• Undeterred,      we transitioned to importing alcoholic beverages and other commodities      into the Iraqi market through entry points at Trebil and Ibrahim Khalil in      1996.
• From      2003 to 2005, geopolitical circumstances necessitated the relocation of      our headquarters from Baghdad to the Kurdistan region.
